Thanksgiving 2012 Fort Clinch State Park

Site #15  Perfect.  Atlantic Beach campground, not the river campground.  Long drive - 6 hours with traffic, otherwise perfect.  Cool weather.  Breezy.  Nice campers. Everyone is close to new, clean bathroom.  Can hear ocean, dunes high - can't see water without being on top of camper.  Short walk to beach.  Great walk to Fort.  Would go again.

Myakka River State Park: new campground

Site 52 was great.  Brand new campground, huge sites, some drive through (this one was), clean gravel.   Long bike ride to Outpost but full of animal sighting along the way.

Disney Weekend

We had a lovely time at Disney last weekend.  Great site, nice and open.  Used the bus system to get around.  It was close to the Outpost , not the settlement.

Memorial Day 2012 Naples

We camped one night at Collier-Seminole State Park.  We were supposed to stay 3 nights.  Mosquitos were terrible but it was the poor 30 amp Electricity service that drove us away.  Our RV does well on 30 amps but with all the folks pouring in for the weekend, the amperage dropped and our surge protector kicked in and killed the power.  We can't have that when the dog is in the camper.  So we went to KOA Naples/Marco island and stayed another 2 nights.  We went swimming at the Sun N Fun and to the new Children's Museum.  We took the car.  We needed it. I caught a cold and we headed home.
